dont think so.. i am 25. i am in collage with people that are around 20 years old and i am glad i am this age now. i think it is the best age to be at. people listen to you at this age half way point from 20 to 30 so best of both worlds..

yes I'm 25 in 2 weeks. I think it's a good age. People accept you as someone with a voice and opinion, whereas up until now you were just cast off as a kid. Have you listened to 18 - 22 year olds talking lately? Good god, I count myself lucky I'm past that stage anyway!

In saying that sleipnir.. there is a lot of people who do worry about it... i have a friend who hasn't even hit 25 yet and is terrified of getting old... she just doesn't want to grow up....

depends what yer doing with your life i suppose. i know a lot of 25yr olds who are finished college, have the job, car, mortgage etc and are settled down. (i.e. crippled with responsibility)

might as well be 40 imo, i still feel about 12

I agree that 25 isnt old but maybe they thought you look much,much older.You know.Too much sun.Wrinkles.Id be far more worried about what age they THOUGHT you were.Rather than what age you actually are.

I'm 27. Had a bit of a crisis over 26 (no previous birthday ever bothered me) purely because it's closer to 30 than 20, but once I got over that (about 5 mins) it was all rosy again. People just tend to reevaluate what age they think old is as they get older. In 3 years time, 35 will be what I think of as the end of youth. And so on.

Interestingly though, and this is a bit off topic, the reason why people perceive time moving faster as they get older may be to do with what fraction a unit of time constitutes of your life lived so far.

i.e. when you were 10, a year was a tenth of your life lived so far
when you are 25 it's 1/25

So a smaller overall fraction, thus appearing to pass more quickly.

Anyway
If you have not done anything with your life by the time you are 25, you might as well give up. Some parents tell their children that.
I'm 25 and nobody listens to me. When I was younger people listened to me even though I didn't know what I was on about. Now I do know what I'm on about more often than not and I get ignored. Depends more whether you are talking to people older or younger than you maybe, although people my own age who used to listen to every bit of rubbish I spouted now ignore me.
At 25, I find you are old enough to know that younger people who think they know everything seem very silly to older people, and therefore to respect older people accordingly.
I feel old.

As someone said, "Age" is relative.

Ask a four-year-old, how old their 20-year old aunt is, and they'll say "really old". Whereas anyone over 40 would call the twenty-year-old a child.

Remember when you were 10 or twelve. Back then, being fifty was "old", sixty was "really old" and anything over 70 was "ancient". Then you hit your twenties, and your parents hit their fifties or sixties, and suddenly fifty or sixty isn't that old anymore. As my Dad says, he has been 32 for almost half his life. there reaches a point where 10, 20 or even 30 years no longer makes a difference in terms of who you are and where you fit in.

To answer the question, 25 is not old. Ffs. Think of how long it took you to get here, and the experiences you had. Chances are, you'll be able to go through all of that again, twice more, before you die.
