Their database can remove it from the system if it's placed in a trolley and not checked out...it get's placed back in at random later.
Still, I'd say someone snapped it up...prolly a lurker.

Ya there is another few there at the mo with 6800 cards for about 750 but nothing as good as above.

    Nukem

I'd pick one up but I hate that 8400 case. The cheaper 4600/4700 cases were much better. The 5000 is a BTX case. I might snag one if it comes up in the right price/config.

you should definitely keep your eye out for a 5000, the case is really nice and quiet, I picked up one with p4 2.8ghz cpu, 1 gig of ram, 250gb sata hdd and a 256mb 6800 for €320 inc vat a few weeks ago.

it's weird but the loudest thing in the rig is actually the fan on the 6800

That was a sweet deal. Haven't seen any deals like that. Mine cost me 500 for a P4, 3.0Ghz, 250sata, DVDRW, 512mb. Only a X300 aswell. Still it wasn't bad.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,662 ✭✭✭savemejebus

Thats a pretty decent deal too i figure if you can't build it yourself for less then it's a good deal...even if its a dell :D

    i just go straight to
    http://outlet.dell.com/Emea_Dfo/EuDispatcher?country=IRL&target=InventoryPage&lob_constraint=DIM

and sort by price. Most of the machines with decent gfx have 256 under the field for graphics on the list. But sometimes this is blank and they still have sweet cards like x800xts. So if you see the cheap 8400s with 3.4 and 3.6 cpu's that don't have gfx marked you should still check their specs, as you could get a nice surprise .

EDIT if it says 9800 in the gfx section, it's almost always an x300se :(

My spec didn't mention a 'Creative Labs SoundBlaster® Audigy™ 2 Sound Card' but thats what was inside when i got it.

/sidenote Just wondering if any other outlet customers got speakers with there system?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,662 ✭✭✭savemejebus

yeah but just crappy normal ones, you got 2.1 right?

I was well impressed with the new keyboards though, very groovy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,630 ✭✭✭gline

just wondering, if it doesnt mention any graphics card at all in th spec does that mean u get a pc with no graphics card?? or do they just not mention it because its onboard or something??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,662 ✭✭✭savemejebus

dunno, probably onboard but knowing dell it might mean onboard with no agp or pci-ex slot

Check the model number before you buy. The lower ones like Dimension 3000 have onboard no AGP or PCI-E. The others like 4700, 5000, 8400 are PCI-E, ones like 4600 are AGP.

Incidentally I got some cheapo speaker. Never took them out of the box.

Thats right, great sound as well. I was just wondering though if there oversight with my speakers was a genuine mistake or policy, but obviously the former if you got yours.

    Aye

the 5000 doesn't. It's all usb so Dell give their USB keyboard (their version of a mac keyboard except black). It's quite funky

Theres no Dual Cores on it yet. Thats what I'd like.
