Any seasoned pilates folks out there ?

Looking to get some insight into how effective / useful it is compared to Yoga.

    Thanks

Pilates is great for strengthening your core muscles i.e. stomach and lower back. If you don't do much excercise it's a good way to get back into things. For a better all over workout I would definitely recommend some form of power/dynamic yoga. I've been doing it for a while and find it great for stength and muscle toning as well as flexibility. Although power yoga will get your heart rate up I would suggest that you supplement both pilates and yoga with some form of cardio workout particularly if you want to lose weight.
