hey just need some advice about toning my legs i have been to the doctor and he has discovered that my calcaneal tendon(thats the achilles tendon)is short its not a problem but it has led to me suffering from shin splints

but thats not the problem i was just wondering if any of the above reasons could restrict me from toning my thighs??? im a member of a gym and while exercising i can feel it in my calf but not my thighs this had led to me having very very very toned calfs and jiggly thighs!!!!!!!!!to be honest!!

i need help please i wear insoles due to foot issues which ease the pain of the shin splints

    any help much appriciated!!

    hi cessy,

Having a short achilles should have no affect on tonigh thighs etc. The achilles/soleus.gastrox muscle grupps are primarily for plantarflexion (pointing your toes towards the ground), therefore shouldn't have any consequence when it comes to working your thighs/hamstrings.

Regarding the shin splints, ice, ice, ice. You can also have physical manipulation done on the sole of your foot, calf muscle group and on the shins themselves to aid in the relief.
