Got a new ISP today and am trying to set up my new email account and also reconnect to my old one. Each time I add account details, when I try to send mail I get this message:

Relaying denied. IP name possibly forged

Apparently sendmail has my old IP address stored somewhere and is refusign to send from the new address. At least that's what I thought I understood from some semi-helpful doc I found on the web.

Anyone experienced thos or know what I should be looking for?

depending on what ISP, they only let you use their email out server. For example, for utv its mail.utvinternet.com, and thats is your out going server, and you use your normal incoming server.

Ok, figured it out. I needed to check SMTP authentication and put in the password of my new account for both email addresses. I can receive from both now and send from the new one.
