Hi some twat (by the name of("FlogenHasapopen") has posted to all the boards on ICDG community advertising their website which is totally off topic. I think they have posted to Phantom aswell.

due to the fact you banned him(without proper notification, i might add) from posting topics or replies, Flogen Hasapopen can not be here to defend himself, so I will take his place.

why dont you grow up. It was unknown to Flogen that all topics must be strictly on the subject of the forum, or they will be thrown off forever. is this China? Communist Russia? Nazi Germany? no, its a free country, and a free forum, not a censorship paradise. perhaps the topics should be used for something better than linking sites, but this is no need to ban a user. i am trying not to use bad language here as it would only give you more cause for complaint. but for god sake, get a life. why does it annoy you so much? why is he, in your own words, a twat? why does this get to you? have you nothing better to do with your life? are you a control freak, who must stop what he doesnt like? why dont you go out and get a partner of some kind(whatever your style is) and realise you suck, you worthless turd.

by the way, all that sh|te you spouted about free speech and so on doesn't really apply here. DeVore and the lads pay a lot of money to keep these boards going and as such have the right to do whatever they like on them. Its fully up to them to ban a user if they feel it is necessary.

Rim, this is a "Virtual Community".

"Virtual" - you are completely free to take part or not, this is a website, not a country. Membership is purely voluntary.

"Community" - a group of people who agree to be bound by certain rules/customs in return for the benefits that being part of the community brings.

As you can quite clearly see, it is impossible to be a "dictator" in a virtual community, as it is impossible to stop people from simply leaving if they don't like how things are run.

I agree that the 12-click was overly harsh, but your tirade about Nazis (followed closely by your thought-provoking exploration of the swearword filter) makes you look like an idiot.

im just annoyed, this is stupid, the idea you can be thrown off a forum for going off subjet. im just here to get FlogenHasapopen reinstated and ill be gone, and ill leave things alone on this topic. why cant things just be left? it wasnt offensive to anyone(ok, so my post was, but flogens wasnt)

To be honest I couldn't care less if he had posted in any of the other forums. But he posted in a community forum. (ICDG were originally on EzBoard but we got sick of the pop-ups, and Cloud kindly migrated us to Boards.ie)

This person posted to all the ICDG board with absolutely no intention of contributing to the community.

Maybe the 12 click was a bit trigger happy allright. But then if you have some muppet say on the IOFFL (just an example) community the action would be swift.

If someone posted such spam on the IrelandOffline forum, as forum moderator, I'd simply delete it. I wouldn't ask for them to be 12-clicked.

Mr. Hasapopen has gotten into some trouble with the people at boards.ie for straying off topic and posting his site address on their forums. he has been banned, and the subject is currently being dealt with by Mr. Cortznicuve. if you wish to help, please register at http://www.boards.ie (a bit of hastle) and go to the admin forum and find a topic twat on.... tell em what you think an insult if you wish, or even be constructive. who cares.

I've locked up boards again to require the admin to ok registrations, its a pain...not for us, its one click to ok but for the genuine posters... ho hum

i would like to, on behalf of Flogen, thank all you who visited the site, even if it was in bad spirits, its all hits to the FlogHasa Inc. team. to be honest, this is not meant to be any rebelious thing rebelious, it just simply questioning how this commmunity is run, and as for the message on the FlogHasa Inc. forum, this was no war cry, but simply a way to inform people of goings on, and, if they wished, to voice their concerns and worries. as for the claim that the link posting was spamming, i beg to differ. the topics, although out of place, clearly stated what the site was about, and was not a lead to anything but what it said. we simply wish to see flogen back on the community, and his respect recovered from this terrible dishonour he has encountered. i think, also, if you look at the topics, especially the phantom fm one, you will see that he has had nothing but good reviews, and has been called a comical genius. so its obviously going down well with the majority of the community.

come on, DeVore, answer my issues, what is the actual problem with what was done, and why was it a 12-clickable offence? perhaps an e-mail warning or something would have been better, and if he failed to comply, then he could be removed. i really think this is a serious over-reaction on your part.

Anyone caught breaking these rules will have the relevant post deleted and themselves permanently banned." This would apply to irrelevant topics aswell. You don't seem to understand the diferrence between a bulletin board and a community.

You all fail to see how stupid his reasons for 12-clicking are. he ****ing linked his site, big ****ing whoop. who gives two ****s and a bucket of cum? something tells me that if he said 'go to boards.ie' in his posts nothing would be done. whats the big deal? and how come there wasnt any warning? it was just done. if he hadnt have checked back to his posts he wouldnt have know why it was saying 'you do not have permission to post....'. so he was wrong to link a site. but it was also in his interests to use the phantom fm board for other use(as in leaving messages...oh wait, now he cant). so dont think he was just subscribing for very selfish reasons. sure he wanted to draw attention to his site, and why not? anyone with a site likes as many hits as possible, including here.

so whats the big deal???

If he wanted to advertise his bloody site, boards.ie have reasonable rates for banner ads

It just comes down to the fact that he spammed twelve different boards here with the same post trying to get some cheap traffic to his site. Commonly known as spam and not liked by most people. The boards.ie admins were perfectly within their rights to ban him. No warning is necessary.

I never said i was different. i said i feel that what you did was a bit harsh, especially when no warning or notification was given whatsoever. and yes he can return if he wants, but heres the thing. why cant he have his old name and details back. he wants FlogenHasapopen back. so why not give it? if he can just as easily return under a different guise, why not under his old one?
