Very stiff

    Morning all.
    I did a monster session in the pool last night and am very stiff. Prob is I knew better than to stretch (yeah I know very stupid).
    Can anyone recommend a cream or spray to reduce teh tension

    best and longest way to loosen still muscles

    I agree. Best way to loosen muscles is to warm them up.... then stretch properly afterwards (and don't forget this time!)

    a hot bath in epsom salts also works well on top of the above

    After sudden exercise you can develop DOMS - Delayed Onset Muscle Strain.

    This occurs if you tear muscle fibres after sudden exercise above normal levels, it normally kicks in within a few hours up to 24 hours later. The cure is rest, the prevention is slowly building exercise tolerance.

    I find after doing weights if I dont take a protein supplement before bed, my muscles are stiff the next day, nomatter if I do a warm up and cool down
