    Hi all,

Rugby player,6 foot, lost a few stone lately and trying to tone up.
Now looking to get rid of excess spare tyre and have been doing sit ups as part of my exercise programme. Problem is that i have alway had a very week lower back and even though i lost weight i am still 16 stone. Is there a piece of gym equipment i can get that would allow me to do abdominal work without putting strain on my lower back. I have seen a thing that looks like a roll bar of some sort, is that any good?

    Any ideas?

Hi Dave, use a swiss ball if you have access to one. It'll support your back while you do your ab work.

Add some back extensions to your workout to work on strengthening your back.
