There have been a few threads on motivation so i thought it would be better to list your favourite books (fiction or non-fiction) or movies that inspired or inspire your training.

p.s. please no discussions on good versus bad choices just what WORKED FOR YOU.

Here are a few for me:-

    *Unlimited Power - Tony Robbins
*The Power of Now - Echart Tolle
*Conversations with God - Donald Walshe
*Survival of the Fitest - Book about ultra marathons and artic trecks etc
*Friday Night Lights - The movie and book

Just a few from me and i personally was most moved by any of the more spiritual based books. It is info from all these areas that reinforce my faith in what i choose to do with my body and hence training every day

    All the best

Is this for life in general or for training?

For training, I prefer to watch films like Ron Coleman's "The Unbelievable" and "The Cost of Redemption"

For everyday things and to get me through I just think of other people who've worked hard to achieve like Arnold S - he came to the USA with $20 and worked his way to being wealthy, a sporting legend, and the highest political position a non-national can achieve...

    Quotes??

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear
is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our
darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to
be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you
not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not
serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so
that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant
to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory
of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,we unconsciously give other
people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our
own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Henry V - "Once more into the breach, dear friends, once more"

    Training is part of life!

So anything that helps in one part affects all.

It is knowledge obtained through life experiences that help you keep on keeping on with training and life.
