Hello, you folks on this thread are well familiar with the sound crowd, I'm looking for the name of a song which I believe was on the crowd control volume 1 tape.
Theres not much in the way of lyrics on it but there is someone saying "every night your in my dream, every night your in my dream. Your life is just a dream". I think it might have a bit of Visage - Fade to Grey sample-mo-tronned into it as well.

I believe the track your after is Dream Lover by Sound Crowd AKA Secret Weapon.
I think it's the Sound Crowd remix your after,

I have it only on Tape , on the Crowd Control Vol 1 compilation on Red Records.

SEANYBOY1 could be right about this tune, The kids lost the cover to my copy of the tape, I'am still looking for it for a proper tune id,
All I know is, its the Sound Crowd, and I thaught the track was a Sound Crowd or Secret Weapon remix of Dream lover, I might be wrong,
someone out there knows the name of it. If I find the cover I'll let you's know.

I uploaded the tune off my tape, I'll Try again to get a better copy of the tune uploaded.

I wish I had that tape. I was at a couple of their gigs in 94. They had merchandising stalls but I never bought anything:mad::(
I have a Sound Crowd folder on my pc but none of the tracks are listed. I'll bang it up here in a few days and you might confirm if it is Volume 1 AL.

Grace:):):):):):) I just loved it, in Sides DC it was amazing, the place would go mad, you wouldn't even need to be under the influence to feel the buzz/energy everyone was getting from GRACE.

It was so popular back then that it was played to death very early on, a mate of mine wouldn't listen to it on the radio, at parties or in the car...he just loved that magic moment when it appeared from no where in the middle of the night in Sides DC, what a surprise:D Bang:pac:

I posted info about a club in Paisley, just outside Glasgow awhile back, then Caf mentioned his love for the dark, sweaty underground club. Anyway here are a few vids and home page for Club69, it's some spot and worth a visit if you're ever in Glasgee. Low ceilings, no AC, dark and you only get about 300 heads in and it's underground.

    The vids aren't great but you get a feel for it;

Anyway... Nice1 for the videos, but I'm gettin' a bit long in the tooth for the day-glow air filled props and big indoor venues,... I still love my tight dark and sticky sweat box's, and if the only bass bin in the shop has a 5" rip in it, it's even sweeter. ;)

Yeah, Glasgow is a great spot, the bhoys are mad over there.

I lived in Paisley, just outside Glasgow for a few years while in Uni towards the end of the 90's. There was (still is I think) a real dark, little underground club in Paisley, Club 69, that I went to a few times. Paisley is one dodgy town, it had a police curfew when I was there due to the amount of violence (nothing to do with me). And club 69 was in one of the worst spots, it's under an Indian resturaunt and the resturaunt is in the middle of a housing estate on a bit of waste ground, the location reminds me of the house in "Fight Club" It was as close to Sides DC that I've been in, it reminded me of downstairs in Sides mixed with the couch area of the Ormond MMC. The club never advertised, it was word of mouth. Most Friday nights they usually had some DJ playing that was in town to play a top club on the Sat.
Anyway here are a few comments quotes about the club I found on the net, theres not much out there about it,
    • I canny believe nabuddy has mentioned CLUB 69 aka Rocksy's Basement. This truly underground club hides itself under th Koh-I-Noor Indian restuarant, in prolly one of the most dark and inhospistable streets in Paisley. Don't worry yerself though, it is attended by some of the finest characters yer ever likely to meet, and also some of the worlds finest performers. This venue/club has a worldwide following and for my money is the best club in Scotland if not the UK, its sweat stained walls tell the tales of a thousand strobe induced spasms. The atmosphere is second to none, cold yet warm damp yet dry, quite yet noisy, dark yet light. I can't put into words just how amazing this club is, go to it any saturday night when the Rub-A-Dub boys are playing and you will see, your eyes will open, leave ALL pretensions at the door and prepare to shake yer ass, 1989 stylee.
    • Cant beleive no-one has mentioned club 69, undoubtably THE best underground dance club Paisley, especially foresight and rub-a-dub, going now for 7 years and known by DJ's everywhere, from scotland to Detroit. It is for those that are into dancing getting sweaty and jumping to anything that is different and musically technical. Guarantees a night of no-hassle, no-fighting .. just luv xx
If your going to Glasgow, get to Club69.

    Cheers,
    Mick

You're not alone...I've been day dreaming about the Olympic Ballroom and Sides DC for years, I've had loads of dreams about the Olympic opening again and arriving at the front doors, the hum of the music coming from inside and being ready for one last night and then I wake up:(

I loved that feeling, you're with all your mates, all mad out of it and dancing your Max off and then suddenly out of nowhere comes the tune you're all mad about, everyone looks at each other, the big smiles/grins, everyone is feeling the exact same - the rush of energy and that feeling in your chest - wow, you just lose it:D

Sides DC was something else for the tunes, it always felt like it was going 110% no let up - in full flight as Key would say - that feeling was down to tunes like the ones you listed above:pac:
