Does anybody know if the Series is on this year? I cant seem to find details for it anywhere online. Im assuming as it was in Dublin last year that it will be in Oz this year
Specifically looking for venues/and aprox dates.
    Thx

    Ger

It's a good game but hate to see the cowardly Aussies kicking the crap out of the smaller Irish players. The Irish management should pick the biggest, hardest team possible and then it might be worth watching!

Or do what they did last year and pick fast ball-handlers with an accurate kick. The Aussies can't shoot straight anyway. Although I would like to see them at full-strength. I think for the last game something like 25 players that were originally selected for the Australian squad chose not to go

I do not think this is cowardly. It is a legitimate tactic the Aussies go for strength and size. The Irish used to do this also but in recent years have opted for smaller quicker players. Both are fair tactics to my mind.

I think when the series is on in Australia alot of them pull out as they are not really interested. When it is on here, they generally all come as the holiday makes it worthwhile. Personally I really enjoy these games and look forward to them each year.

Actually that was for when the series was on here. And it does lessen the whole game somewhat. Maybe the fact that we beat them so easily last year will persuade a few more to show up.

I was talking about the fights not the tactics.

Yeah, I know that. It is still tactics. Look back at the early compromised rules games and the Irish used to give as good as they got. We changed our style but they aussies didn't. I do not really have a problem, in fact it is the physicality of the game that I enjoy.
