yeah, there is more private schools on the southside, therefore better teachers then us povo-stricken public shoolers, so its really nothing to do with more intellgence. also, my experience on the loreto swords debate team 2004 taught me southside private schoolees are VERY confident, which is a big help in terms of positive thinking ect, when doin exams.

i dont get grinds so that doesn't come into the equation, and i've done most the learning myself this year, with most people who do well they dont need a teache(apart from language and maybe math) and the original post wasn't concerned with the reasons why, i just said that it would happen. check the tables foe entry to tcd ucd where the points are highest and i think you'll find the majority of them are from the southside.

well firstly i guess its a bit of fun, as i say i don't usually use the spelling roysh. it has brightened up your day with a bit of blind rage. but also look at the tables of entry to the higher courses, money or not, grinds or not my point is still valid the southside schools an average do better.

theres no denying that more southsiders go 2 Trinners(my college of choice) or U.C.D.ubes everywhere, maybe cos they're located on the southside!!!!
you cannot over look factors such as better teachers in private schools, being able to afford grinds, ect (and the confindence thing!)

confidence???? you either have confidence or you dont, if you've studied... you'll have confidence. the teaching standards are prob pretty much all the same around the board. in my skool there are good and bad teachers(mostly bad) all of them are employed by the government anyway same as any other skool and they all have their crappy little hdips in whatever. i dont think the teachers or the money make a difference........... it just down to geoghraphical location, southside does better in the leaving.
it is not just a snotty little comment, its fact look at the skool averages etc.
if you were this offended every time you read a newspaper they would be inundated with hatemail.

Do not give me that crap, ok you might "speak proper", but there's thousands out there who don't. Linguists have proven that the "dorsh, roysh, loike accent" is completely fake, ie. there is no raison d'etre for it.
although the real dublin accent may be unappealing to the ears (actaully i happen to like really old dublin accents that old people have, its welcoming or something), at least its real and not put on to give the impression that one is oh so well to do, when in fact one comes from Harolds Cross or Templeogue or something (no offence to those in those area's, just examples)
