Just in time for the power cut last night (Leopardstown). They had to close early. :o

But yes I think there are a few members around on boards.

been a member since it first opened. I am thinking of moving back to total fitness in coolock. Much better weights. Dumbells in westwood are a joke, and in the evening theres always some ignorant german prick hogging all the equipment. Saw a near punchup over the leg press last week, very amusing!

Im thinking about joining Westwood Clontarf. I have few quick questions if anyone could help!

    1. Do you get an induction and assessment?
    2. Do you get regular assessments?
    3. Is it very busy or only a certain times?
    4. Are the staff friendly?
    5. Do you get use of the pool, tennis courts and rock climbing or is that extra?
    6. Any complaints?

    Thank you!

1 - Yes but you have to book it
2 - Only if you book them - sometimes there's a waiting list
3 - It's busy at certain times - say 5-8 every evening. I go in the mornings and it's nice an quiet!
4 - Staff seem friendly enough
5 - pool and rock climbing are free not sure abt tennis
6 - Not really - the showers were terrible but they're replaced the lot. The only gripe I have here is that most of the time there's lessons etc during the day so you don't always have full access to the pool - I need to use the kiddy bit cos i'm CRAP at swimming...

Thanks for the replies! I think I'm going to join Westwood over Total Fitness. T.F. is cheaper but W.W. has €100 off the initial sign up fee if sign up today for students. T.F. still works out €195 cheaper. Is W.W. worth the extra money?

Also do Westwood make out a programme for you?

hey Right_Side (or anybody else who's interested) - I have a book of vouchers at home and there's a couple of day passes in it if you wanted to have a look around for yourself?
