    Haha,
Well technically you shouldnt be trying to get into clubs if your underage,
But sure we all did it. Try a local club first and get there VERY early.
For the ladies the easiest way to get past the monkeys on the door is wear a short skirt.
And lads you have no hope unless you stick tea leaves on your chin and talk in a real deep voice.. :D

and then there is always your older sisters/brothers drivers licence, a laminator, a colour printer and a good knowledge of Photoshop (Not that i condone that type of thing of course).. ;)

    Good Luck..

heheh wish id heard of the tea leaves trick when i was a wee scroat :D
probably would of just got told to sod off and wash my chin though

katie, why bother? beleive me you will be sick of these kips by the time you hit your mid 20's anyway. you may as well keep the small bit of novelty value inherent in going to clubs till your 17 or so (just my opinion ;) )

for a girl dress like a slut (yes its offensive...but effective)

for a guy, uhmmm...meh, mostly luck, if you come with a crowd of people over 18 they might overlook you.

Yea it will look like your trying too hard,
The bouncers will know your underage anyways, but the short skirt will work i have seen it so many times and i have worked in a pub for years so i know it works. Just and be careful whatever ye do..

I made the fake ids for all my mates when i was 16.. I did a usit card for a fella once and his name was Karel Ivanov the poor fella had to talk in a russian accent everytime he went into places..

The main thing is to be sound if you are turned away, Dont argue just beg and flutter the eyes,
If that doesnt work just keep trying every week they'll let you in eventually..

    moany feckers on here,
    towns big enough for everyone.

dont bother with a crap id,
bouncers will ask for a license or a passport.

    wear the short skirts,
    go with older girls.
if 5 16 year olds go up together youll have no hope.
dont get girls who look to much older as theyll make you look younger.
be sober when you head up, and early.
if theres stll room inside and you look like you can handle more drink, theyll let you in.

have a 50euro to pay the entrance fee,
if your paying in 50cxents theyll alugh at you.

    anyway
    confidence and good makeup.
i dont know anywhere easy as im a old enough these daysm ask around with older mates or just head in early with a list of places to try.

    best of luck

No! Wait till your nearly 17 at least before your you start trying to get into pubs. Then try clubs when your have some experience in the pubs. Could you imagine some poor lad pulling a girl in the club only to later find out she's 15? It happened to a mate of mine when he accidentaly pulled a 14 year old in a club in Limerick. He was horrified when he found out.

Get there very very early. Go with people who are 18+. try make yourself look as old as possible, dont get too drunk or you will draw attention to yourself. I know a good few places that I used to go when I was underage but I dunno if I should be posting names...

True which is another reason you should wait. Not all guys in clubs are 18. The victim of the adolescent predator that I know was 20 at the time.

Well to be honest 3 years isnt a big age gap but that really applies if its 20/23 but 15 to 18 is a huge gap because its usually between those years that people mature the most! Now dont get me wrong im not saying your imature cause i dont know you but in general understand?

I'll also add that when underage people are out with people of legal age and the underage is refused entry then it leaves the people of age in quite an akward position.

Totally agree with you there man! Makes you feel really sh*t when the older person comes out again just cause you cant get in! That is if they do come out! Shows who your friends are!

I've had to cancel many a potentialy great night when one of my 17 year old friends was told to get out of the pub.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 151 ✭✭Camogie Playa

At that age you should be trying to get past bouncers at pubs, not clubs.Dont get too far ahead of yourself!Theres always the prob that could happen that you might get in and your friends wouldnt get in, then youd be stuck inside on your own, ot in contrast you might get stuck outside on your own!!Anyway i think pubs are the best craic, they were anyway when i was that age!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,908 ✭✭✭Alkers

Once you turn 17 it's easy. I was getting in everywhere in town on a passport saying I'm 17. Once the year adds up they never check any more than that. My birthday is even on the 30th 12th making it extremely obvious!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,648 ✭✭✭knifey_spoonie

If you were in the midlands you could try the harriers, the amount of people who will shudder at the name, but comon it good craic at 15-16 or so i think.
Or try pubs before the bouncer comes on shift.(im to young to know that)

    Quoted for emphasis.

Same thing happened me a few years back 'cept she was 15  She certainly didn't look it.
Great, you say? Yeah right...I was dumbstruck...slagging from mates went on for ages, but TBH how much worse could it have gotten if I'd wnet off with her , not knowing? I coulda ended up on a charge of statuatory rape...
If a guy (or a girl for that matter) meets someone in a club they shouldn't have to ask to see their ID before trying to get off with them. Doormen and management are supposed to keep underage out. 21's door policies may piss 18-21 yr olds off but I reckon it keeps the kiddies out. It's not like there aren't places where you can go nowadays...in fact todays teens are more than well catered for especially in the bigger cities.

When you're that age you should be round getting pissed from your mate's parents drink's cabinet, or out slumming it in a field with bottles of Bacardi Breezer or whatever. Not calling the OP immature or anything else, but over 18s (or 21's) should mean just that...

The age gap between 15 and 18 is the same as the one between 12 and 15 my dear. You shouldn't be going to clubs blah blah, but if you do it, you should be careful, otherwise you'll end up spit roasted in the jacks after getting yourself plastered or just knocking back an unattended rohypnol and coke.

Oh, and try working on your spelling... shud/wud etc....

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Le Rack

    sorry???
I'm 17 and have never bothered with the likes of clubs and pubs and its not because I wouldn't get in, cuz I've always looked a ot older than I am without trying but we have more fun having a laugh in the park and most of my friends are older than me! If the lads want to drink they go to Lidl earlier that day and stock up.
I think its pathetic the likes of 15 year olds trying to go out and get into places where they will probably end up getting kicked out off anyway!
Whats the point going out at that age to get off you neck and not remember most of it the next day? What are you in third year at the most? Maybe TY?
Take OfflerCrocGod's advice and grow up!
And never mind you your parents are worse if they no your going out to langered and still let you out.
