Was there ever life before exams? i have a distant memory of it.

The strange thing is that once my exams actually start next week the time will fly - it's just in the run up that time has s-l-o-w-e-d.

    tanned skin = damaged skin

the irish cancer society started their sun aware campaign yesterday, there was a dermatologist on the news saying that irish ppl have the fairest skin on the planet.

I doubt anyone nowadays would develop it really, maybe I'm wrong but far as I know people get more than enough vitamin D!

Btw -It's called osteomalacia in adults, sounds more scary that way doesn't it?

Tendons attach muscles to bones... and ligaments attach bones to bones at joints

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,461 ✭✭✭DrIndy

Agent smith means his rotator cuff muscles - they stabilise the shoulder joint during rotation movement, reckon he damaged supraspinatus from the description.

Lengthy solar exposure or very severe episode = bad, tanning the hide is pretty harmless so long as you don't make a habit of it. Remember its natural for your skin to tan, but long term exposure is bad. I've already spotted some early skin cancer on people on the street/walmart here, but not actually more than I do walking through a street in dublin.

Rickets is virtually unheard of in ireland unless there is another underlying disease. The old problem of poor diet and zero sunlight from smog from the industrial age cities is no more.

Do you go over to them and tell them to go get it checked out? is there any ethical thing that covers something like that?

Like, if an architect/engineer sees that a building is going to fall down, do they tell someone, or just get out of the way? Or, someone who's studied human genetics faced with an awful pair of people that's just announced they're thinking of trying for a baby - do they scream 'no, you two must never breed' or place their faith in external nurture?

I really need those exams to start, and to focus my rambling mind...

So did I..what I meant was, it wasn't on the couse for JC science (at least not on my course, and I don't think it was any different the year I did it).

I think it was on the course the year i did it............. so they probally dumbed it down a bit after, they keep doing that with JC and LC subjects, god knows why....

They destroyed physics in my year, wayyy too easy no fun........

Surely though, the ethical situation is covered by the fact that you know, for a fact, that no one will ****ing listen. as are most things in this world :/

    Oh right yeah.

And, I agree. The LC and JC are getting easier. I heard wee 6th years in the LC forum going on about how difficult biology is - HAH! I SCOFF at that! The new course (which I did last year) is a PIECE OF PISS. It's ridiculously easy compared to the old course (thanks be to god i didn't have to do that).
