ehh. i know. i want to know where he/she got this animal. how does he/she care for it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 29,473 ✭✭✭✭Our man in Havana

Ok I got Rascal & his brother Taz from a breeder in the uk - I have an import licence.

I keep a variety of exotics & a lot of rodents - I am posting using my husbands account as I cant be bothered to log in using my own user identity FAYESY.

Skunks are quiet easy to keep - mine are in an indoor rabbit cage & they are allowed to roam the room everynight - they eat a variety of foods 90% veggies 5% fruit & 5% protein - for example, swede, parsnips, cauliflower, broccoli, sweetcorn (occassionally) sugar snap peas, carrots etc etc etc apple, grapes, etc & dog biccies & mealworms. they can have bone problems like an iguana etc so they get calcuim & vitamins sprinkled on their food once or twice a week.

they get on fine with cats & dogs - my pups do get a bit over excited when the skunks try to steal their dinner but other that that they are fine. They have a slight musky smell a bit like a jill ferret now where near as strong as a hob.

I think thats answered most of your questions.

    Faye xx

This is Meeko. He is a Pyrenean Mountain Dog and is 7 months old. Another 2-3 months and he will be close to his full size which I hate to think what that is as he's huge already.

Not the best quality pic as it was taken from my phone.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,658 ✭✭✭donutheadhomer

that mountain dog is huge. little lulu is 13 months and she won't eat much, vet says she ok but shes tiny, little baby lulu will never grow up

Our collie cross, (a fitting name, it's funny to watch her chew grass). She lost her back left leg after being in a car accident; it became infected, and had to be amputated. She can still move like lightning though. After breeding with the neighbour's dog (think it was an irish red setter), came these 3 little stinkers:

Wiggles - The biggest and strongest of the litter. (Mr. T)
Widget - Cute, very playful, and cheeky. (Face)
Whisky - Small, dumb, but completely adorable. (Murdoch)

He was also a little nerd too. Unfortunately, he died from poisoning.
