I concur. I have seen some lovely silver bursts on Arias though. Lovely stuff. €600 though :(

It looks very plain and a little cheap

It looks like someone tried to spray paint a Silver bass black, and then ran out of paint.

    Dabhoys's LP Custom is Silverburst.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,968 ✭✭✭jcoote

oh right thats ok then..god damn hippy sunburts..silverburst passes the test tho...sweet...did dabhoys pick the colour himself

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,135 ✭✭✭✭John

He always wanted a silverburst les paul and when he saw one on ebay at a good price he hopped on it. Like the ninja he is.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,848 ✭✭✭✭Doctor J

It's more of a blackburst than sliverburst tbh. It just looks different because most bursts have the darker colour around the edge and the bright colour on the inside. I like it... I like it a lot.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,968 ✭✭✭jcoote

like a negative burst ...yes that does sound groovy indeed... any pics (thats for dabhoys)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,135 ✭✭✭✭John

I want a crimson burst guitar. Preferably some sort of les paul but I'd be open to a tele too

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,363 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

  • Moderators, Education Moderators Posts: 9,654 Mod ✭✭✭✭mayordenis

Get john2 to start warming up the van from the proposed invasion of Spain as well. Dibs on the rectifier!

Ok guys, assemble at 05:00 and I'll take you to his house. I have a map of the house drawn up with items of interest marked in red pen. My house is nearby, we can use it as a safehouse to load and ship the stuff out to your places. Of course some of it will have to stay with me. Bring sandwiches.

Oh my god I'm under attack :p Me's not looking sympathy at all. I just suffer from GAS like everyone else. Its a bastard. It will never go away!!! I'll be starting work in a few weeks and I shall be making some purchases. Well at least I hope. I need a decent bass. I don't have a good one :)

Yeah, and do you remember his pedal board? *glares at Dabhoys* Up for an expedition?

The pedal board is no more. I sold off most of the things I had to pay of fat tony (Aka the bank). So i didn't get my knee caps pealed. I rarely used the pedals...

how many people here buy stuff on thick or with use of a loan from a bank/loan shark, i think its just the stupidest thing ever, people buying luxury items they cant afford, ****ing dumb if you ask me. i'm not including a gaf in that.

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,363 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

Why is it dumb though? People buying something they want to buy. They want it so instead of saving up for it and getting it in a few months time, get it now and pay off the loan.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,968 ✭✭✭jcoote

yeah xactly if i didn't get a loan i just end up dippin into savings and by the time i'd saved up the money the loan would be paid off....

Actually the money I had to pay back had nothing at all to do with luxury items or guitars at all!!!

The debt to mr bank was for College related things and a present for family members birthday. Thats not selfish or stupid in my opinion....

that's pretty stupid, you save up for months and get what you want or you get a loan and pay it back over the same period and get what you want now.

Do you not see the logic in that?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 800 ✭✭✭dabhoys

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,135 ✭✭✭✭John

we won't need chloroform or fighting, just a strategically placed burrito

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,034 ✭✭✭✭It wasn't me!

Can it be on a string?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,135 ✭✭✭✭John

Can it be on a string?

Yes, yes it can. And just to save this topic from going further off topic, the burrito will be silverburst.

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,363 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

    A silverburst burrito? Interesting.

What about a burrito shaped guitar that's silver burst?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,135 ✭✭✭✭John

    Just crazy enough to work

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,034 ✭✭✭✭It wasn't me!

Can the guitar taste like a burrito? The perfect thing for those long gigs.

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,363 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

Burrito flavoured lacquer? Could be interesting...
