    ( no cheating people!)

everyone keep adding questions if you get the right answer, and see who can answer the most correctly, eg a leaderboard for the brainiest boards members!

    question 1.

what percent of all trinity graduates with primary degrees went straight into employment in 2002(try guessing if you don't know)?

post grad study. only 20 ish percent myth?

Well I had 60% down, but then decided to go for 70%. And then I said **** it, 75%.

Tis all a guess anyways, coupled with figures from years ago i spontaneously remembered which are probably incorrect.

    4. What does the 2008 Beijing Olympic's national swimming centre have to do with trinity?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,487 ✭✭✭Kevin_rc_ie

I don't think Corish won a nobel prize for his role in inventing the nicorette patch.

i did know the answer to this question but i googled to get the specifics. Dr. Wiebke Drenckhan from the physics department worked on the idea of the most energy efficent shape, it's kinda like a dodecahedron - The Weaire-Phelan structure . A metal sculpture is in the lobby of SNIAMS.

Anyway, some Chinese dude seen the idea......
The Weaire-Phelan structure is the inspiration for the architectural design of the structural framework of the Water Cube, the national swimming centre for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,523 ✭✭✭ApeXaviour

Weaire being the head of the physics dept. Being top in the world in bubble (yes actual bubbles, as in foam and suds and stuff) research has some benefits :D
Point of interest: If you walk into the IAMS you'll see these big massive silver blocked monument in the centre of the foyer.. that's the weaire-phelan structure they're using.

    Your go..

    EDIT: is googling cheating? Snorlax?

    TRINITY GENERAL KNOWLEDGE QUESTION.

    What Houses is CSC based?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,487 ✭✭✭Kevin_rc_ie

That makes no sense, but I assume you mean House 6.

I think we should have a general rule of thumb of not asking questions we don't know the answers to.

Trinity College, Dublin General Knowledge Question 8
