    Well I returned the four books today. The damage? 62 euro.

    Yes I am truly an idiot but to paraphrase Eric Cartman, UCD's library sucks donkey balls!

    Did you ask how much it would be to replace them instead?

    No. I was offered the chance to pay in instalments but I decided to pay it outright as I wanted to take some books on loan to study.

    I hate that, man!! Where does the flamin' fines money go, though? It's not spent on new books, thats for sure....

    That's horrible.

    On two occasions my library fines have just dissapperaed from my account without me bothering to pay them off.
    But I'm just naturally very lucky. :)

    No such luck for me. I have gone into triple figures on fines throughout the year. :(

    The fines are a disgrace. I spoke to a friend of mine who is in another college and he can't believe the cost of the fines at UCD. As for where the money goes, you got me. Perhaps it goes to Hugh Brady? With my fines, I'm putting his kids through college...
