Just about break the 30 mark, but I reckon counting the last three in Europe as 'countries' is cheating a little.

Lived in Australia for a year up a few months back, so did a huge amount of travelling around it, and Asia. Never got to New Zealand but will definitely go back. Moving to Gibraltar on Friday to work for a few years, once I've got a bit of cash I'm hoping to do South America for about 3-4 months which should get me closer to 40 countries... the dream has always been 50 before Im 30

Well the Vatican at least has a seat at the UN, which is more than can be said 6 of the other "countries" listed under Europe.

Perhaps... I dont really class N Ireland as a seperate country tbh. But I'd like to hear you tell Scottish or Welsh people that they aren't 'really' a country! Sure if it wasn't for 1916 we wouldnt be a country either now would we...

I wouldn't consider Isle of Man or Gibraltar seperate countries, the Vatican City is more of a city state... but you can't say that visiting Scotland or Wales is the same as England. Whereas N Ireland feels very similar to the South, with British overtones. Totally different imo

Like you can't say that visiting Dublin is the same as visiting Cork, they are still the same country though no matter how much those crazy Corkonians protest otherwise.
