Hey I was just wondering what songs people think are good to run with/ help you run longer and get you pumped about it?

I think the new gorillaz song Feel good inc is great and the new Greenday song Holiday.

I can run a fair bit but noticed I get tired easily when I'm thinking about running if you get me. If I have something to listen to I can run for double/tripple my usualy lenght.

    :)

Plenty of rock and metal... something with a good beat. No soft acoustic music or ballads :)

Stuff like Sonata Arctica, Foo Fighters, Green Day...

Pantera, early metallica, Therapy?, chemical brothers, faithless, as rainbow kirby said - anything with a good regular beat to it, preferably nice and loud and pumping.

Bit of dance/techno etc will get the blood going no problem!

Ace of Spades & The Game.
Just make sure you dont beat the crap outta of anyone you meet along the way...

And of course Rocky 4 - Hearts on Fire and Karate Kid - Youre The Best Around
Try not running when you hear them! :D

i bought a small mp3 player for the gym and i think the play list is something like:

muse- our time is running out, muscle museum
metallica - fuel, memory remains, dont tread on me, ronnie, sad but true
    motorhead - killed by death
evenscence - whatever that song was with the bloke in it
disturbed - shout 2000 (brilliant version of the tears for fears song)
offspring - kids are not alright, come out swinging, meaning of life
    suicidal tendencies - lost again
    megadeth - lucrecia
faith no more - land of sunshine, epic, small victory, as the world turns.

i know there are more, but i cant bloody think of them.

anyway, most of them are good strong beats, some slower than others, but thats good for the cross trainer when it gets harder. i can happily admit that killed by death has been the only reason i have managed to finish my sessioin on the cross trainer sometimes :)

Doves - "Pounding" is a great gym track, "Dark & Long" by Underworld is also a pretty good gym track, but it really depends on what type of music you're into.

    Linkin Park - Papercut

Fat Boy Slim - Right here right now
    Prodigy - Firestater
Nine Inch Nails - The hand that feeds
    Some Chemical Brothers etc.....

nothing like a bit of bouncy hard house or filthy hard nrg to get you going.
i'd say the last time i ran was about 2 months ago when i was running late for work :o
i'll be joining the gym in a couple of weeks though

I have to concur with RATM and Linkin Park.

Also Cafe Del Mar and Paul Oakenfold.

I keep meaning to creat a special gym folder on my MP3 player, as slow ones from Bjork and Blur and ruin the buzz.

I used to do ;oads of long distance running and I went through a phase of listening to Wyclef Jean's album The Carnival. I wasnt into that kind of hip hop but its a great running album!

I like listening to The Killers and Greenday while jogging - but it changes from week to week - Rock is always good!
