I'd go with the blades, slow and painful, that way you're more likely to have an audiance! thus being the point of suicide no?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,730 ✭✭✭✭simu

I would never do it. Life isn't that bad.

Bullet in the head, dipsh*t. One of the most obvious and it's not even listed. Why are some sad people STILL putting Atari Jaguar in their polls? Isn't that joke just beyond lame at this stage?

where can i buy a gun ? this is ireland not LA

Actually, you can get shotguns and so forth fairly easily. You need a licence though. I'd go for the drugs, as it's painless, and probably least unpleasant for the person who finds you. I'd also leave a long note explaining to all loved-ones in intimate detail how it was in no way their fault or responsibility. Not that it would have much effect. Suicide's never painless.
(Edit)And BTW, could someone please explain this Atari Jaguar thing? I keep seeing it around.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,911 ✭✭✭Zombienosh

Well if you ever consider killing yourself you should imagine yourself in the position of having someone real close to you kill themselves, You'll see it differently then, I know I do.

Atari Jaguar , check the wiki boards thing, Its on there somewhere.

I dont know where the law stands regarding advice on suicide- I presume Apes advice would be the most commonly reccommended to anyone considering suicide.
Perhaps there is an Irish internet forum where people can discuss their feelings on life anonomously.

Its an interesting question you asked, some people resort to some gruesome methods of ending their own lives, but I hope youre not really considering ending your own life.

I am also wondering if it is because your life is at risk, if you may be terminally or painfully ill, or if you feel your life has gotten so bad youre finding it hard to carry on.

Either way, Im sure there are people who you can talk to about it in confidance.

    Youre in my prayers.

    Best of luck.

just noticed the poll- its language is offensive and its tone belittles suicide. Wether you are considering suiside or not, this was an irresponsible and rather sick poll.

Should be a multi option poll.
I would cut my wrists after I had a few hundred atri jaguar pills. Then jump from a high tree with a rope around my neck above a train track.

Isn't this thread hypothetical? And besides, most farmers actually own shotguns, and if you were a bogger, a gun would probably be easier to get your hands on than the "drugs" for an overdose. Eat your words and take it back, schmuk.

I think it's pretty reasonable to assume the OP isn't a bogger. And why call the guy a schmuk? From the tone of his posts, he seems to be actually considering this. A little f**king sympathy would not go amiss.

Probably the cleanest and most efficient (and by that I mean it's guaranteed to work) way is drowning. Tie some bricks to yourself and jump in a river. However, it's quite often not a pretty sight for the person who finds you body after 2 weeks in the river.

Using drugs is probably not a very reliable method. A lot of drugs will make you violently ill and you end up puking them up. Quite often though you will have done serious damage to you spleen, liver or kidneys before this ensuring that you spend the rest of your life as a cripple. You may also suffer brain damage. This of course applies to drugs you ingest orally. An injected drug such as heroine may not make you sick. It might not kill you either and may leave you a vegetable afterwards.

Even gun suicide has a high rate of failure. A lot of people put the gun in their mouth which only ends up blowing out the back of your neck, leaving you paralysed.

In the end, suicide is a very selfish act. If you die then your family bear the burden of guilt and pain. If you survive, the family once again bear the burden of perhaps having to care for their now crippled/paralysed son or daughter.

I once had to cut sombody down who had hanged themselves. Not a nice experience at all and one I still think of regularly.

    Not a laughing matter.

This thread should be nipped in the bud.

Doesn't seem that way. If it was I wouldn't have a problem with it. It seems more like this person is looking for suggestions on how to top him/herself.

    Dodgy..

Spare a thought for the poor train drivers who have to witness people jumping in front of their cab doing 100mph. Not a pretty site, esp for the firemen having to walk the track to pick up all the pieces.

    Agreed a most selfish act.
