Pretty cool. If ye look to the left and down a bit as well you can see where they seem to have some amount of weapons testing there as well.

wonder what other classafied areas google maps will let ye look at?

Strangly enough, when i tried to do a search on boards for "area 51" and "area" to see if this was already posted, i got a "page cannot be found error" but it works for other words.....doo do doo do...:eek:

They're nuclear bomb testing sites. Pretty interesting. There's some wierd stuff out in the nevada desert. There's this massive triangle out in the middle of nowhere. If I find it I'll post it up. It must be a target or something. There's also huge complexes built out in the middle of the desert. Google won't let you zoom in on them.

Boards search has been broken for ages.

I've posted in Feedback about it (with worked examples) a number of times.

Basically it boils down to the server disliking certain terms (like "cheap").

AN ENTERPRISING surfer has found a way to harness Google's new mapping facility to uncover the secrets of Area 51.

The American military base, in the Nevada desert, is steeped in history and rumour - allegedly being the place where all of Uncle Sam's work with extra-terrestrials and physics-defying technology takes place. The place is so heavily guarded, it's almost impossible to get within miles of it.

Why would they blank it out. Whats so secret about america using their military? If everybody knows B-52's are stationed at this air base then google maps isnt telling you anything, its not as if the pictures we're taken 15 minutes ago and the commies are using google to coordinate strikes!!
