Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The Nick Cave b-sides is well worth it, lots of unreleased stuff on it. It's a far better overview of the Bad Seeds than that Best Of from a few years ago. All the Bad Seeds related bands are exceptional. So I second the sentiments that everyone should have healthy doses of Bad Seeds and Birthday Party and supplement with Barry Adamson, Neubauten, Dirty 3, Die Haut, Crime and the City Solution, These Immortal Souls, Anita Lane and whatever else I've neglected.

didnt read through this thread, so most of these were probably discussed already, but for what its worth here is some essential indie/alt (i'm going to be liberal with the meaning of these phrases!) listening....

    joy division
    velvet underground
    radiohead
    sigur ros
    explosions in the sky
    M83
    ted leo and the pharmacists
    pixies
    nick drake

and probably loads more, but these just sprung to mind right off the bat......
