I'm not really sure which, if any, of my questions you answered but anyway...

Where does Sollog get his ideas from, do you know?

Interesting Wikipedia article on this Sollog character...

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sollog/
John Patrick Ennis (born July 14, 1960), also known as Sollog, is an American numerologist, mystic, and self-proclaimed psychic. He is also a self-published author and a self-described artist, musician, poet, and filmmaker.
Sollog prefers not to be called by his birth name, John P. Ennis, considering it an insult, and claims instead that "Sollog", "God" and "God Almighty" are his only legal names
Many of these observers implicitly claim that Sollog-supporting Internet accounts are all used by Ennis himself, and nobody else, by directly addressing the poster as Sollog or Ennis. The person or persons using these accounts always claim to be separate individuals, and specifically deny being Sollog.

NDC777 - You wouldn't be Sollog himself, would you? Of course, denying it at this stage will only arouse my suspicion ;)

That's what you get for being vague I suppose.

Afair there is/was an interesting war going on wrt Sollog and the creator of the Wikipedia. And I think Sollog followers created the website www.wikipediasucks.com

    No. I am NOT Sollog.

Wikipedia sucks alright. And it's not just Sollog followers who say so.

Goodshape beat me to the link. I've stumbled across Sollog's drivel pages, and ridiculous self-important ramblings. The chap has a mental disorder, his predictions are vague (and that's being charitable to the extreme) and can be applied to any event of the day.

His 'followers' as they are called, are either himself, or people with intellectual difficulties. Sorry, I have a healthy but sceptical interest in the paranormal, but the likes of this self-proclaimed net-messiah cause righteous ridicule to the whole fascinating area of precognition.

I also find his website very childish and even malicious (eg. posting the wikipedia owner's phone number and advising people to call him and complain because of the article posted about 'B'ollogs). But hey, I'm just a mere mortal, what would I know... give him your money if you need a messiah so bad! :)

Define "The next few weeks" please NDC777. Do you mean within 3 weeks? Please put a bit less ambiguity into your statements. If it happens within the timeframe that you will specify I will give you one euro.*

Incidentally I was reading up on earthquakes.

Over the last ten years or so, there have been an average of 1656 magnitude 5 or larger earthquakes each year.

All I'm saying is, during the Afghanistan invasion, when they suspected Bin Laden was hiding in some underground caves, there were a series of earthquakes in that same region... hmmmmm... Wouldn't be difficult for the states to do, and then they could gloss over it because they control the media, or make you forget/not care by using HAARP mind control technology.

Not really paranormal, but more conspiracy...

A few minutes of research revealed this
The authors of "Angels Don't Play This HAARP" base their information on documents they were able to view which came out of secret meeting of the U.S. Government and the U.S. Military. HAARP is a ground-based "Star Wars" weapon which has the capability to manipulate the environment in such a way as to change weather patterns, disrupt global communications systems, disrupt human mental processes, negatively affect health, and impact the Earth's upper atmosphere in an unnatural and damaging way. By interfering with the Earth's magnetic field there is no assurance that damage on an irreversible global scale will not occur.

And it can blow dry your hair and make you breakfast...

    Here's another one
The Creator designed living beings to resonate to this natural frequency pulsation in order to evolve harmoniously. The ionosphere is being manipulated by US govt. scientists using an Alaskan transmitter called HAARP, (High-Frequency Active Auroral Research Program) which sends focused radiated power to heat up sections of the ionosphere, which bounces power down again. ELF waves from HAARP when targeted on areas can weather-engineer and create mood changes affecting millions. The intended wattage is 1,700 billion watts of power. A former govt. insider deduced they want to flip the world upside down. 64 elements in the ground modulate, with variation, the geomagnetic waves naturally coming from the ground.

The ‘earth´s natural brain rhythm´ above is balanced with these. These are the same minerals as the red blood corpuscles. There is a relation between the blood and geomagnetic waves. An imbalance between Schumann and geomagnetic waves disrupts biorhythms. These natural geomagnetic waves are being replaced by artificially created very low frequency (VLF) ground waves coming from GWEN Towers.

Tbh, most sources that I've checked out really don't seem to be very credible. That's not to say HAARP couldn't exist, but it seems to be the generic boogy man of advanced technology misused by governments.

Ye might be interested in reading a bit about The Montauk Project which has supposedly formed much of the basis for HAARP. The first page is a bit hard to read, I can't figure out if it's made up of a load of individual posts stuck together or if the author has difficulties following linear time (you'll see what I mean when you read it). It follows on with an interview of John Quinn which is easier to read. I won't make any claims as to the accuracy or factualness of any of it, all I'll say is that I enjoyed reading it anyway.

First off, Psi, you may want to split the Montauk/HAARP stuff from the more -ahem- seperate issue of the Sollog earthquakes? :)

Hi Steven. The Montauk or Philadelphia Experiment is one of the reasons I started to get interesting in the 'paranormal'. It's a fascinating theory, and there was a book written by Charles Berlitz - and corny 80s movie.I personally believe there is something to the story, although accounts have varied, and witnesses have been hard to get. It's generally agreed upon that the USS Eldridge was in that naval base at that time, and that there were experiments involving high voltage electromagnetic generators on the ship with the aim of making it invisible to radar - and possible invisible to our eyes too. Remember that we only see what light photons are reflected into our retinas.. no light.. no sight! :)

Nikola Tesla was a genius, and is often believed to have been initially involved in the experiment, but not in the final one carried out with live subjects on board. Von Neumann is also a very well regarded Mathematician, who pioneered a logical view of how a computer must work - which is still in use today (Von Neumann architecture... basically, processor, memory etc).

Tesla was interested greatly in wireless transmission of energy through the ionosphere - which lends weight to the fact that the HAARP is a follow on from his work. There are many other far fetched theories which seem to be accepted as fact on that website (such as alien visititation, cooperation and the Eldridge reappearing 40 years later), but such is often that way with conspiracy theories that they get mixed up with half-truth and lies over time, until the real truth is obscured.

I think that the ship may possibly have disappeared and even shifted beyond the space time continuum, as there are people who state that some mighty strange things happened that day, but it could be more likely that a disasterous (but not as spectacular) experiment was carried out on naval personnel, which was kept under wraps because of the deaths involved etc. The whole thing sounds very far fetched, but actually becomes much more believeable the more you look into the story, to the point that I wouldn't discount the core parts of it anymore.

Also, Phlematic, I have that book you mention, "Angels Don't Play This HAARP", and the actual transmitter is real, it's really there in Alaska (the locals are trying to get information on what the hell it does, and is it safe.. in fact many want it shut down), and the US government admits that it is blasting HUGE amounts of energy into the ionosphere (for research purposes). It is also not the only transmitter of it's type which the US admits to.....

Mind control has been around for a long time, and is not as far fetched as it may seem. Very interesting field to research, but can open up the paranoid can of worms, where nothing is what it seems. Trust no one and all that. ;)

Yeah, I think there's enough evidence to show that there is 'something' going on at Montauk altough it's hard to say what, it could be something relatively innoccuos like McD's working on their secret sauce :)

From what I've read, Tesla's work seems to form the basis for Montauk/Philidelphia. I've seen it mentioned in relation to loads of other weird stuff too. He seems to have had a great natural understanding of how the universe worked which allowed him to do things beyond the physics of his day, even todays physics, which is kind of how I look at the paranormal, it's all part of how the universe works, just our understanding doesn't encompass it all yet. Does anybody know of any good books/websites about him and his work ?

Yeah I agree. The man was fascinating.. a genius. I read his biography (think it was an autobiography as far as I remember), and he certainly had an intuitive understanding of electricity and physical properties of the universe. He also had some ideas which were not believed by science, but which I actually believe had some serious truth to them... such as an 'ether' which permeates the entire universe. This ether of tesla's seems (IMO) to explain how the force of gravity works, and I think it may explain entanglement, or Einstein's "spooky action at a distance", whereby the properties of two particles seem to be tied together even at a distance - among other scientific anomolies, and is started to be looked at seriously by physicists today. I remember watching the C4 documentary "What We Still Don't Know" and at one point I just thought, 'jeez.. that's Tesla's ether they are talking about there....'. Of course, I'm no physicist or scientist, so my 'theories' are just that... not to be taken as gospel. :)

I have the authobiography on .lit format, and it is public domain now, but I cant find it on project gutenberg anymore (filing system is getting a little chaotic there), so I can e-mail it to you if you want it?

nice quote from tesla: "... The present is theirs. (skeptics of the day) The future, for which I really worked, is mine."

That's what I was reasoning. However, one thing stood out to me, and that was when your man who studies these things said there would be aftershocks in that region of up to magnitude 6, which if I recall, was due to the Asian Tsunami. I haven't reread the article, so I'm working from memory.

I randomly decided to Google it and see what came up news-wise. Of course, as far as I know, there's almost a strong chance of nothing happening now, until you take into account that somewhere it's still 9:30pm, so until it hits 12:00 here, it's still the 21st somewhere. He never said where it'll happen though. Of course, I won't believe it until it's been proven from a credible source.
