Should only usrname/password type data be encrypted or is it ok to encrypt an entire site using SSL?

SSL does have a performance hit (depending on encryption level) on the server side, as the server has to encrypt/decrypt all traffic to the secure site. a very rough rule of thumb is to double your processing power smile.gif
