I have read something or seen somewhere that says, running first thing in the morn before you eat anything in benificial for fat loss as your body has used a lot of its glycogen reserves during the night and so has to bun fat to get the calories?
Any one any Ideas on this? Is it safe or would your body start to burn muscle to get the required energy?
Also, If i took a Thernogenic Capsule 1/2 hr before run would it not increase the fat burning potential? (it dosent say to take cap's with food)
As caffene is a main ingredient in thermo Products does, does it hinder creatine use? (also read some where {possibly on packaging} that caffene should not be taken in conjunction with creatine??

Lets have some details of what you do first?
e.g. how long do you run for - time and distance?
What is your heart rate during this time?
Your age, weight and body fat score?

    I would be guessing otherwise

Am sitting at 92 kgs at the min, Body fat score?? (probably on the high side but I do a fair bit of weights)
    Height 6' on the nose.
And have never monitered Heart rate during run!! Makes things real easy!
at the min i'm running anything from 3-5 km in anything from 25-45 mins.
I also try and do some hill sprints and High Intensity different morns...? Say I'd do a Long run one morning the following I'd do a short run and some sprints or HIT.

You do lose the most fat at this time, for a few reasons, and also precautions must be taken.

    1. In the morning, on an empty stomach, you have now carbs in your system, maybe a little glycogen in your liver. If cardio is done at the right intensity, fat will be used.

    2. Intensity is the important factor. If you go to 80% of MHR (max heart rate = 220 - age) your body won't have the ability to provide a constant source of energy so it will burn whatever it can - including muscle. I keep my heart rate between 60 and 70% aiming to keep it at a steady 65%.

    3. Even so you must take precautions. Glutamine is the best option. Take 10g 30 mins before and you should be fine even if you stray above 70%. BCAAs also work well. They are unique proteins because they are used by the muscle for energy similar to how carbs are used. If weight loss from muscle becomes a prob I suggest 2 things. Either take a whey shake 30mins before cardio or if you wake during night have a shake then. I take a shake during night (even dieting as I am) and 5g bcaas before cardio.

    4. As cardio elevates the metabolism, doing it at the start of the day will help raise your metabolism. Coupled with an evening workout the fat loss effects are great.
