    ohh the pains of typing.

It shouldn't stick, the ground is too wet, and the snow is too light.

Least it better not stick. Biking + snow = no fun. It's actually quite distracting. You see big flakes heading for your visor, and you can't help but flinch.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,571 ✭✭✭daymobrew

D!ve^Bomb!: Go to the chemist. Should be able to give you some over-the-counter stuff.

This morning was first drive in snow - it kind of hurts your face and eyes if you have the visor up and then it sticks if you have the visor down!

Snowing heavily here on Kildare Street- and the thermometer says 1.5 degrees.

Forecast for today: Light Rain, sleet or snow. Possible accumulations on higher ground. Highs of 2-6 degrees.

    Tonight: Cloudy but dry.

Tuesday: Possible light sleet or snow. Overcast. Highs of 1-5 degrees.

    Wednesday: Heavy snow.

Thursday: Light snow. Highs of 0-3 degrees.

    So......
Hang on- wait till Wednesday- and then a freeze for the latter part of the week.

    Hmmm.......

Yes, the newspapers were right: snow was general all over Ireland.

It was falling on every part of the dark central plain, on the treeless hills, falling softly upon the Bog of Allen and, farther westward, softly falling into the dark mutinous Shannon waves.

It was falling, too, upon every part of the lonely churchyard on the hill where Michael Furey lay buried.

It lay thickly drifted on the crooked crosses and headstones, on the spears of the little gate, on the barren thorns.

His soul swooned slowly as he heard the snow falling faintly through the universe and faintly falling, like the descent of their last end, upon all the living and the dead.

    Hate the snow.

Why does Dublin City come to a complete standstill every time a bit of snow falls?

Was nearly late for work. I had to leave early, because I knew that the roads would be in bits with the traffic. So, I had no breakfast, so now I'm in work starving. Can't leave my desk, because the snow means people won't leave their houses, and stay in to play on the internet, then break it. Then ring me, putting me in to a worse mood.

I hate the snow, especially when it's not sticking.
