No one loves choccy more than me but Easter eggs are a complete rip-off. Lots of unnecessary packaging too.

Save money and get HUGE BARS OF CHOCOLATE!

I tried making a solid easter egg. Took about 20 bars of chocolate, and you couldn't bite it.

i love chocolate more than the average joe but i hate easter eggs completely for these reasons

    1. rip off

    2. the chocolate they use is not the same (quality wise) as what they use in their bars etc.

With Easter only around the corner, what Easter Egg do ya hope to get?

Personally I'd eat whatever I was given.... and the more the merrier, but I adore Terry's Chocolate Orange Eggs.

    What is your preference?

They're all the same! It's just a chocolate egg.

I'm holding out until the day after easter so I can get a nicely cheap one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,601 ✭✭✭MidnightQueen

There'll aways be one!!! All to there own opinion I suppose.

So there is no easter egg at all that you like? Do you even like chocolate?

For me it would have to be a galaxy one in some shape or form but not all that fussy. If it's got any form of chocolate flavour, I'll be happy.

I must comment that since the Euro was introduced the prices on everything has gone up, but its quiet notceable on Easter Eggs, some are ridicilously priced.

The last few years I've been getting a Terry's Chocolate Orange instead of a regular hollow egg. More chocolate for your money and you can fantasise about Dawn French if you're that way inclined.

Yes you can - tiz just an egg with two walnut whips, but not an actual chocolate egg with the walnut whip stuff inside and a nut on top :)

Are those Terry's Chocolate Orange eggs the same as the actual Terry's Chocolate Orange, only a bigger version? Or are they just a normal chocolate easter egg that tastes orangey?

    P.S.
I love Kinder easter eggs, now those are soooo yummy :D:D

    P.P.S.
I saw those Whole Nut eggs, they also do a Crunchie egg now too, wonder what that's like - the crunchie bits in the chocolate egg!

Its just a big hollow egg, with 2 terry's chocolate orange bars with it, but the good part is that the hollow egg is orange chocolate too. Yummmmmm!!!!

Anything larger like the big Quality St eggs were €5

The type of Cadbury eggs they have with bits of the bar going through 'em are:
    Fruit & Nut
    Whole Nut
    Mini Eggs
Crunchie! <- that one would be cool, the egg with the orangey Crunchie bits going through it :D
