I'm having a bit of a problem with the electroic side of things, I am trying to make a circuit board with an LDR ( I know the basic circuit, the transistor etc..), which when its covered lights an LED. The problem is I have no idea how to put it onto a printed circuit board and my teacher is hopeless. Is there anysite which will lay out a board?

All of these will give you a rough idea of how to do the job.
Maplin should have everything you need to make the PCB itself.
If you dont have to use a PCB than dont use copper strip board.
