i was on the bus today and these scumbags kept on shouting at us(im not being whiny this didnt bother me much).Then one of them came up and sat right behind me and one of my friends and i turned and looked at him and said hi.
then he goes "you two are boring" and went back to his loser friends.It was grand cause im used to losers but then they spat chewing gum into her hair :mad: she didnt notice so i told her to get it out of her hair and she had trouble,this just made them laugh more,she came close to tears and ran down the stairs i went after her and our other friend told the busdriver and he did fúck all i really hate that because they were picking fights with fúcking 13year olds! :mad:

Sorry to hear bout the run in with the scum, but look at it this way:
They're filthy trash, at the bottom of society. They're going to be living off the dole for the rest of their lives once they fail their LCAs. At least you're going to have a real life . That thought always makes me feel better bout the scum.

Hmmm,
I thought Dublin bus ran a pretty tidy service.
Witnessed the following 2 incidents both upstairs, though not as bad as yours:
(A) 38C heading back to city centre, 1 guy was harassing a young woman. Despite some warnings from a good samaritan, he didn't back down so some one else went downstairs and explains this to the driver. Driver finds a safe spot to settle down, a guard arrives escorts the troublemaker off and we're back on course within 40 minutes.
(B) On the 40D, Some guy at the far back starts smoking, seconds later the intercom lights up with the driver telling said person not to smoke (don't think he could have smelled it, so there are cameras?), though this was ina professional, polite manner.

In your case you showed good control and restraint (barring the fact that a fight wouldn't end well), and that's definetly respectable.
It's just a shame that people get harassed by these scum fairly regularly. They're always so brave in numbers, but fairly spineless when isolated :rolleyes:.... err with the exception of drunks and that's from personal experience

Reasons like this always make me stay away from the back of buses especially on the upper deck.

Has anyone been on any of those new buses yet? With some english chick saying something like 'It is illegal to smoke on these buses' Every like 15 minutes or so. Then inbetween for some unkown reason she just says 'The wheels on the bus go round and round...'

I wouldn't expect much maturity from the bus drivers.
I remember one time I was in O'Connell Street to get the 10 bus and as it stopped this guy and his girlfriend and their kid were having some argument with the driver over something as they were getting off.
The woman got so p*ssed off with the driver she told her boyfriend to go over and hit him which he went to do but the driver pulled up some sort of protective shield and just started laughing at them through it!
The woman kept punching it but she couldn't get to him and he was just sitting there calling her a scumbag while she was threatening to come back and kill him!

Most of the people beside me at the bus stop got on a different 10 bus that had arrived but I stayed as I was enjoying the spectacle.:)

Never a dull moment in this city.
