Just aquick one on the thoughs that cutting out fat is beneficial for fat loss.

This couldn't be further from the truth. You NEED fats (Omega 3 and 6) for a whole variety of functions:-
    +Growth and repair
+Testosterone production - optimal when you are consuming at least 30% of your food intake as fat (only the essential fats though)
    +Immune system
+Hair skin nails - if you have dry skin it is possible you are deficient in fats
+Energy - low fat diets can cause low energy levels
+Feeling of fullness - essentail fats trigger a part of your brain (appestat) to let you know you have had enough to eat
    etc

Omega 3 - fish (non-farmed), linseeds, cod liver oil and walnuts
Omega 6- Nuts and seeds, extra virgin olive oil (fry with it and you have just destroyed it), avocadoes

These are vital and must be consumed regualarly for optimal body functions. So eat your essential fats and do not touch vegetable oill, ike flora (use butter or coconut oil), trans fats or hydrogenated veg oil . The harmful fats are loaded into junk foods.

studies have shown* that arterial plaque is primarily composed of unsaturated fats, particularly polyunsaturated ones, and not the saturated fat of animals, palm or coconut.” Dr Mary Enig
    * Felton CV et al. Dietary Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids and Composition of
Human Aortic Plaques. Lancet. 344:1195. 1994.
