Folks,

I've a databound combobox. The field it is bound to is nullable, the datasource that populates the combobox doesn't contain nulls. So my problem is I need to be able to insert a null value into the combobox which I can do until I save the data, at this point the combobox selects the first value in its list and that is written to the db . Does anybody know away around this? I've tried various things like setting the SelectedValue property to DBNull.Value and setting the field in the bound datasource to null as well. Doesn't work.

Any suggestions?
