Newbie: Targa Laptop

    I bought a Targa laptop s/h. Its a Targa Visionary 1300ws, model N341C2, with an AMD 1200 CPU and 512 megs of Ram. (out of warrenty)

    I am thinking about upgrading the CPU but am unsure as to what AMD processors are compatible.

    I downloaded the Bios update 1.27 from targa.co.uk the file is in nero format and when I went to flash the bios the instructions are in German language. (If I proceed would it change the language of my bios pages to German?)

    I downloaded another bios update 1.27 from the mainboard manufacturers site www.uniwill.com but the instructions are not clear on how to perform the update.

    Anyway if anybody has upgraded a similar laptop I'd be gratefull for your opinions.

    DO NOT at any cost use the third party bios. use only targas one. the instructions are in german apperantly if u follow the defaults the bios updates but in english.
    do not update the bios unless u are having major problems. the laptop could be ruined permanently.
    leave the laptop alone. if u want a faster one buy a new one.

    Thanks for the reply, and your good advice. Still though I'd like to know what AMD CPU's are available for this machine.
