Here is my mink kills for the last few months..
6 taken from the same river,(1 mile section ) have recently seen the first ducks, moorhens and this weekend even a swan return.

Won't be long before the new batch arrive from upstream, someday the neighbouring gun club might help clear there section...

The Grey will look nice on my Mantelpiece :D

    Lads,
All compliments are filed and logged. Thank you for your kind words.

    JohnG,
    One less to worry about.
That predator has a formidable canine sweet tooth.

BTW John what is attached to your barrel toward the business end?

At one time he looked like this character.

Yeah Psittacosis that's the old one, I posted new ones today. I must have done preview and not pressed submit. D'oh

    Let's try again...

This fox I got in the same little gully as the last one. She had much much lighter in colour fur than the other one. I also found a splattered BB pellet in her fur, I was surprised really how flattened it was, I'd say it bounced off a stone. Also pictured are my deben electronic ear protectors, I don't miss the ringing in my ears one bit, they're worth every penny I put towards them.

Did you stretch and dry them?I have stretched and dried a lot of rabbit skins in order to start tanning them, in fact I just got my potash aluminium today to start.

Yeah,i normslly stretch them over whatever is handy and dry them in the shed.I used to treat them with borax when i was a kid but stopped seeing the point. What do you plan to do with the skins?

Havent been out shooting rabbits in a while and forgotten exaclty how much wildlife the irish countryside acctually has to offer. Was shooting around kildare and the amount of magpies there is unreal. Only had the rifle with me so was restricted to rabbits but maybe restricted isnt exactly the right word.

Didnt get a chance to count them yet but the dog will be happy for a good while anyway

Some of the crows and pigeons myself and a mate shot form 3-5 last saturday evening. I was suprised at how they kept flighting even with all the banging considering the time of the day..

Caught my first mink this day last week, on the eve of the ducks too, very fitting I thought. They're agressive little buggers, check out teeth in the second shot.

I've taken the liberty of tweaking them an bit, and reducing the filesize. I hope that's okay?

Finn had a great day on Saturday. He made a fine retrieve on a difficult runner. More importantly Sunday dinner was a little bit special. ;)

Thinkfirst banned for muppetry. Responses deleted to wipe the thread clean. Guys, if you see stuff like this, hit the report button, don't feed the trolls. It might take me a while to spot it on a weekend, but either myself or Rew or Civdef will find it and delete it pretty quickly, especially once it's reported.
