Also, because I don't know where else to post this, do people in other counties (esp. Dublin) think Mayoians(hehe) are boggers? When I was at the gaeltacht all the Dubliners were going on about it!!:eek:

I would see the bog as midlands really, Laois, Offaly etc (I used to live in portarlington till 1999, the bog isn't that bad), now I live in West Dub though

Well the rural areas where I live are covered in bog!! Here bogger is a general term for anyone who lives in the country, has a culchie accent, has a farm, likes farming, or has offended the name-caller in any way, even if they don't live on or near a bog!!:D

*EDIT* I personally don't think the bog's bad at all, I don't even know why bogger is an insult!!??
