No need to close a/c
I wouldn't close my a/c just incase been actively using for last 5-6 years
So i changed my location and all that even time zone and today 25mb
10 days well worth the wait.
Roll on 250mb

Anyone know if this is still working. I was going to send it to a friend but she is not exactly computer saavy, If it went wrong I would be in trouble to say the least :eek: The whole 'close account' part will probably freak her out.

Just did it there, worked perfect, lost nothing. But i got no message from hotmail to say it was going to be bumped up to 250mb????

I did post a thread in order to get the new hotmail live and get upped to 2gb but no one took any notice.... try and find it...not posting it again

Needlessly complex, I just emailed the Hotmail staff saying I was a long time customer and it was upgraded.

You used to be able to use Outlook Express with hotmail for free. Well they said it was beta for about 4yrs. Then they blocked it, and now require you to pay a subscription to use it with Outlook (not outlook express). It may have other features but thats the general idea.

Personally I realy dislike the improvements they made to the Hotmail interface a while back. I also got fed up helping other people, family member etc., who get stuck doing things with it. So I've switched them all to Google which they have no problems, with. Have 2GB which is great for emailing photos etc. It obviously has a Pop3 interface aswell. I just can't see any reason to use Hotmail anymore. Takes a few weeks for all your contacts to remember the new address.

Thats not true. We had 4 hotmail account that had been in use for years, and they al suddenly stopped working with outlook express at the same. I did hear that some people didn't get it turned off so it seems a little inconsistent how they did it. Bit like this 250mb upgrade. 3 accounts got it, one didn't. Go figure.
