I'm looking for a new gfx card and if it agp then im going to see about getting one.

Thanks for that. Been looking for one of these for a while now. Any idea what time they open at tomorrow? Do they have many, or any any left at all?

EDIT: Does anyone know if pc world stock the Antec Super lanboy case? And if they do, how much it costs?

They had 1 on the shelf in blanch today. They dont do antec cases, they do jeantec...1 or 2 nice ones but mostly crap

Yea. I'll probably get mine in Peats. They have a Galaxy (I think it's a Galaxy anyway) for €269. Didn't look at it so I'm not sure if it's AGP.

Thats what I can never understand. I was in Maplin today and they were selling a 5700 for 197 euro. Any sort of common sence would tell you that you're being ripped off.

EDIT: The 6600GT in Peats is a Galaxy 6600GT PCI-E and costs 269 euro.

went in there at around 9.10 this morning and as i couldn't see them on the shelves I asked for them, the guy checked his list (he was marking stuff down) checked the computer and found out he had 6 in stock. He then went and got them (came out with all 6), gave me one, and went about putting the others on the shelf - or at least thats what i think he was doing.

They come up on the system as 300, the sales person has to discount them. So if the particular sales person wasnt aware of the reduction, he'll have told u the full price. Its over now tho, was only for the 26th & 27th.

Went up to Blanch today and picked up one. None on the shelf but the girl had a root in the stock room for me and found one. Was a bit nervous when she asked for €299. I said "Ermm....is it not on special offer?" "Oh, so it is. €150 please"

Score.

One of the other staff was there. He apperently didn't know about the offer. Said he wished PC World paid him a bit more.

I'm having alot of problems with the card so far. Texture and character models aren't rendernig properly. I'm currently downloading a third set of drivers.

Would the fact that its overclocked be an issue?

was 2 day sale only. Really good price for the card, considering they're trying to shift 5200's for 159!

They had some other good deals i probably should have mentioned, 128mb USB key for €20, nortan security suite (virus protection, firewall, privacy control etc etc) for €37.49...thats all i can remember now...

Doubt it, its only oc'd by 25mhz or something, they're said to be good for 6800 speeds (obv. you've got less pipelines, so performance wouldnt match).

Did you completly uninstall ur old graphic drivers before you installed the new ones? Use driverCleaner from Guru3d.com

Its grand, sorted it out.
Apperently there was a problem with this card and the new nVidia drivers, got a fix for it.
Google is my friend.

Ps. The card is freakin sweet.
