Boards was down: How have you coped?

Boards has been down half a day... how have we all coped? I've gained plently of practice hitting the Refresh button and trying to actually work

Anyone find any interesting solutions to whittle away the time?

I just went to bed.. it was a great way of dealing with the situation..

Aye, did a bit of work... thank christ thats over.

Also finally got BitTorrent to work (I know.. where the **** have I been hiding?!) so I've been having some fun with that.

I, like Seamus, did a surprising amount of work. Gosh darn it! At least that can stop now that I can idly browse forums and read threads until I'm released from here.

No, I would have. But I wanted to look at the Leaving Cert forum for that study notes website. So if I failed I know who to blame. :eek:

I coped by staying in bed until about 11, walking into computers in town around 1, and doing other web stuff until it came back.

Some of us are used to boardsie outs. The great muppet crash that left it down for majority of a weekend made me do stuff for a while.

But when it goes down IRC, OTHER WEBSITES and REAL LIFE usually make up for it.

The Holy Grail is but a cup and this is far more than an Internet forum. I mean really yes we're truly obsessed here! Not a tongue in cheek in sight.

Now I'm planning to wear metal gauntlets and solder myself to the PC so I can always be in proximity to my beloved boards. Ahhh...
