Well he knows his audience. That "joke" is probably stolen from the ventriloquist Ray Allen's dummy Lord Charles.

Dont like him anymore, but I have to say I detest Brendan Grace with a passion, always have.

    I hate him

    He is scum.

He should be strangled and then have his breasts slashed open - like the Yorkshire Ripper's first victim back in October 1975

    No. Pass the peanuts.

He's officially been unfunny since 1989 which explains why the Late Late trot him out as a guest every two weeks when someone drops out.

 just reading this thread, and from downstairs i heard a voice on the tv, it couldnt be....yes it was him on the late late

You'd get more laughs watching Bambi than you would this guy.....

Considering the competition was Niall Tobin and Brendan Grace, its no surprise that people on here think he was funny when they were young.

He's a boll*x though, and an unfunny one at that. Saw him on last night's Late Late, saw him recycle two jokes made famous by other comedians and thought "why is that cnut still making a living out of this?"

I hated "Bottler", wasn't that the character he was?

He was right good in Father Ted though.

"I've had my fun, and that's all that matters"

Think it's a Dublin thing myself. In the same way that only culchies find the horrifically unfunny Pat Shortt humourous, only Dubs think O'Carroll's funny.

I must be one mixed up fool so.

As I have said, I'd rather stick pins in my eyes than listen to O'Carroll, but I actually find Shortt mildly amusing.

Have a look at my location tag.

Have to agree Pat Shortt is mildly amusing. Brendan O'Carroll is a comic rip-off!

Yeah I agree there, I was watiching him on the late late last night, he was using old material which was mostly Billy Connolly's.

But I have seen him and his shows in the past (Mrs Brown) and taught over all they where funny.

He was in Dunnes in the Square (Tallaght) today promoting his new DVD, I think.

    Brendan Who?

I seem to have been able to avoid this alleged travesty of an excuse for a comedian completely...

Who promotes a DVD in a supermarket?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,165 ✭✭✭Interceptor

Someone who sells a lot of DVD's in a supermarket. In 'Marketing speak' its called knowing your audience. 'Ah here luv, your piles will fall ou' carryin' tha' heavy shoppin', buy me video ah go on' etc etc until someone pops a cap in his ass. Anyone?

I'd like to put both b.o.c. AND pat short into a tied binliner and then proceed to kick seven kinds of **** out of it.

Now that's a plan I can get behind, throw Twink in that binliner and you could sell tickets.

He was on the ray d'arcy show this morning (at the moment actually). He's such a nob!!!!

He shouldn't be allowed on public tv or radio. I have toenail clippings that can tell a funnier story than that f**ker. Seriously how can anyone think he is funny.

    Arrrrrgggghhhhhhh!

He's about as funny as syphilis...

The only time I ever laughed at him was when he literally bumped into me in Dublin, I heard a little man say "sorrey", I looked down and there he was. He looked scared :)

His comedy is designed for a niche market, he’s exploited that niche and is probably quite well off from it. Fair play to him.

Personally I don’t find him funny at all.

If thats the case I seriously envy Dublin wit. Seriously.

What was the name of that 'comedy' quiz show he had where the prize was a set of mugs shaped like his face? Jesus, Give me a 'Know Your Sport' umbrella any day. Second only on the sh*te-ometor to Gerry Ryans 'Secrets' (maybe he's a 'Dublin' thing too???)

    I'm from dublin.
    Pat Shortt funny.
    Brendan O'Carroll mildly cretinous.

The man is a national embarrasment.

    i think he's funny.
i think he's naturally a funny kinda character... but i don't think his own material is any good...
i used to go out with his daughter though, so maybe i'm biased.
    incidently, she's a stunner.
    funny that eh?
must have been the spanish milkman...
