Nominations here for what you thought was the worst movie of 2004. What actors, directors, producer, etc. combined to make the movie that made you wish to show them to the dole queue.

To be eligible, the film must have been released on Irish cinema screens during the year 2004. Each voter can only nominate a maxiumum of two titles. Any further ones shall be ignored.

Catwoman is easily the worst film of all time!
And King Arthur was pretty terrible too...

Ah man that was tosh. There were worse films out this year, but it's going on my list because I just ... disliked it.... that.... much. That films makes me sad.

    so to recap:
    Van Helsing
    Stepford Wives

you knew what you were getting into when you went to see AvP so no complaints please!! Did you expect it to win an oscar??

I thought Shaun of the Dead was particularly bad, and how it was classified as a film in the first place, i'll never know....and a comedy at that??

Van Helsing was absolutely abysmal, apart from the catchy music when they were pointlessly treking across the wilderness...

Around the World in 80 Days

    Van Helsing

Where would be the best place to see a list of what was released this year. I feel that I'm forgetting some of the good/bad ones.

Also, when are the votes counted - at the end or as we go along? I'm asking to see if it's possible to change my vote if I come up with something worse/better.

Edit: Changed 2nd vote from Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow to what is there now.

Seriously  have you seen Alien Vs Predator?

Saw had its faults, but it was entertaining, and I thought Lost in Translation was one of the most enjoyable films of the last year

    Alien Vs. Predator

The pain of that movie just keeps coming back to me.

Firstly, I really enjoyed Saw, I thought it was a very imaginative script and it really doens't belong in this category. Secondly, why did someone go and see thunderbirds in the first place?

i don't think I'll be renting Van Helsing anytime soon.

My own nominations for year's worst films....

Man about Dog. I felt violated watching that ****. The worst script to ever be put to film and the most annoying actors.

Stepford Wives. For some reason I felt like I was watching one big cookery programme with Darina Allen.

    King Arthur. Puck.

All the Christmas films just released..i.e. Christmas with the Kranks which would've been called Ernest has a nervous breakdown had he still been alive.

I'm on a roll here I'm gonna keep on going..this truly was a bad year for movies....

    Bridget Jones....horrific....

Ah listen I may as well stop now cause I'll use up all the bandwidth if I kept going. There are so many imaginative writers out there and directors with a vision and yet they continue to make films like Alfie.

I haven't. It looked crap on the trailers and I heard nothing but bad things about it so in the end I didn't even bother.

That said tho I'll wager a Euro to a Cent right now that if I ever do see it that I will enjoy it more than I did L.I.T. by at least a good 50%.
