Radiators not heating

    My uncles has a relatively newlu installed oil central heating coming off a stanely range with hot water stored in a cylinder. Something is not right with the system.

    Two radiators are hot, working fine. Another is very luke warm while the TRV is at 5.

    There is no hot water going to two of the radiators. The supply/flow pipes are stone cold. Any idea what may be causing this?

    Yesterday the return side of one of them was hot, but the radiator itself was cold. Today this pipe is cold. I am assuming the valves are reversed but can't figure out why a pipe that was hot yesterday, is cold today.

    In the last room, the flow and return are reversed. The TRV is open full and the feed pipe is cold. Conversely the lock shield valve was fully shut and the return pipe very hot. I opened the lockshield and the radiator has heated up. He will have to get the installer back to address this, but in the meantime I would like to try to get all the rads to heat up.

    Any suggestions?

    IIs It pumped or gravity fed? I'm presuming gravity.

    @10-10-20 Thank you

    Its pumped (wilo yonis Pico circulation pump). It's my uncles house.

    Something is not right with the system. 3 x adiators have the lock shield on the flow side. Radiators that would heat up one night, would not heat the next. The heating could be on for hours and the radiators not heating, or barely heating. The hot cylinder would be very hot so I assume a circulation issue. The pump seems to be running.

    I reset the circulation pump but no change. Bled radiators, but no air in them. It's only a relatively new heating system (3 or 4 years) so there should not be sludge in it. The water is quite dirty though. However, when a rad eventually heats up, it has some cooler areas so it may be that the system needs to be flushed.

    The person that installed it will be called to have a look. Its not great that they put 3 x TRV on the wrong sides.

    Post a few clear pictures of the pipework around the cylinder

    I'm wondering if the cylinder coil is popped. Is the water out of the hot tank also dirty?
