How long does it take to have ownership of a property registered on Land direct

You lodge the instrument under which you acquired the property in 2023 and they register it. If everything is in order registration is usually pretty quick.

But it's something that should have been done in July 2023 and evidently wasn't. This could be a simple oversight but that would be surprising; it's a core part of the conveyancing process so it's not something a solicitor is likely to overlook. So there may be Unresolved Issues that contributed to the fact that this transfer wasn't registered and the time and, while I have no idea what those Unresolved Issues might be, it is possible that they could result in further delay to registration even now.

It should not take more than a few months unless there are issues. If Landdirect does not even indicate there is anything pending on the Folio it means the solicitor has not lodged the application or it has been sent back with a query which is still outstanding and the application has not even been accepted.
