Power socket for rear of tractor.

Hi all.

Looking to run power from battery to a socket to rear of the tractor to run the air seeder. Currently using the 12v inside the cab but it heats up alot and don't want to test faith more than I should.

Gonna bring a 3 core back but not sure what suitable socket to use. I know some guys use a 16 amp blue connection as it's waterproof and dustproof but hope someone might have a better suggestion. Maybe something off a truck or whatever

have seen lads use a trailer light socket. Just wire up as many pins as you need.

If you want something really durable look up “millatry” style connectors. Metal body, screw connect, water proof.
most have rubber dust covers when not in use

Half turn ones are probably more suitable than fully threaded.

u can kit power kit from spares from battery to rear of tractor think it’s 5m long and fused as well and use Anderson plugs
