Driver for beginner golfer

HI

I just returned to playing golf after a long time away from the game. Currently using a Taylormade R9 driver. Pretty old club. Just looking for advice on a new driver with plenty of forgiveness. Budget is 200 euros max. Thank you

Something like the linked cobra would be a fine option, great driver that would still be as good as any modern club.

You can't go wrong with any Ping options either for forgiveness.

Golfbidder is pricier than likes of donedeal but you're guaranteed a good club in excellent condition.

With a 200 budget you're in a good situation, plenty options

Taylormade M2 is the greatest driver of all time and should be available very cheap 2nd hand

Thanks for the replies everyone. Some great food for thought. Mate of mine has a king cobra Ltdx. Gonna borrow it over the weekend and try it out and see how it goes from there

It's all subjective of course but tbh was it 'that' revolutionary? No. Great driver but nowhere near the best ever.

Makes for interesting reading this list. The M1 is at number 6. I had one, it broke. Quickly 😂

So I got out this morning for a round using the King cobra ltdx driver. It's a 10.5 degree and was adjusted up to 12 degrees by its owner so I didn't change it. Very happy with it. Majority of tee shots went straight if a little high but that's obviously because of the high loft it was set for. Very nice driver to use

Depending on where you're based, if there's a Halpenny anywhere near you they always have 2nd hand drivers and clubs for sale. But they usually have an indoor range as well so as you can hit a few balls with it.
