Cgt on crypto

I sold some bitcoin last year.

I made a cgt payment direct via ros within required timeframe.

I now need to include details on tax return.

I use one of the online tax companies to formulate my return re self employed income etc.

I did my calculations re cgt on sale price of crypto less purchase price. Reduce this figure by 1270 due to exemption and then pay tax at 33 percent.

My online tax adviser appears to have advised entering gain as sale price and entering purchase price as zero which makes zero sense to me. Am I missing something here?

How did you acquire the bitcoin

    Buy it ?

Have you proper documentation as to the purchase price paid?

    Or

    Were you gifted it?
