What does this statement from a Virgin rep mean "Virgin only gives Sky 70% service"?

After years with Virgin decided to try Sky 1Gbs because they are offering a big discount. According to Comreg Sky are just repackaging Virgin fibre in our estate so I assumed quality would be similar. However when I went on to Virgin to cancel the rep pointed out that "they only give Sky 70% service" suggesting it wasn't as good. What does that mean anyone know?

They're fibbing. When I cancelled with them to go to Digiweb, they told me "you do know Digiweb share your connection with x amount of others?". But they do too so it was just a lie to try to keep me.

If there are any issues with Sky, it'll be to do with their backhaul and not the Virgin network they're running on.

Exactly as @Glaceon has said. They are lying and shouldn't be saying that. It wouldn't just be repackaged Virgin either, as you are being connected to Sky's backhaul core network.

Good to hear. I have been with Virgin for several years and the service has been good but their price even after the "threaten to cancel every year" trick is not great. I am willing to see how Sky works out for a year anyway.

Are you currently on Virgin coax or FTTP? If you are on coax, a new fibre install will be needed for Sky as only Virgin's FTTP is wholesale.

I am pretty sure we are on FTTP. They upgraded us from Coax a few years back. The Comreg Website just lists it as Virgin 5000Mbs Fibre and then lists Virgin, Sky and Vodafone as retailers for it.

Yeah you can get Sky, Vodafone and soon Digiweb through Virgin FTTP.

You should have a Hub 5x if you are on FTTP. If it's a Hub 3, 4, 5 (non X), it's coax.
