    Hi,

I'm restoring an old house and having underfloor heating installed in ground floor and rads upstairs. Heat source is oil boiler. Hot water tank and heating manifolds will be under the stairs.

Does anyone know if the manifolds can be located underneath the hot water tank. I'm really trying to maximise usage of space.

I think the tank will be a 300 ltr 1.83m high tank.

Another point - the plumber suggested that counter battens be placed on bottom side of first floor joists in order to run heating pipes to rads upstairs. I don't want him to be cutting into the floor joists.

Would anyone know what dimension timbers would work for this, and how they would run, and be attached.

    Many thanks in advance

    Richard
