prepay iphone 17-three unlocked

Thinking of getting an iPhone 17 on Prepay from Three Ireland. Anyone know if it comes locked to their network?

According to their official policy, all phones should be locked. But I've heard mixed experiences from people.​

Has anyone bought a Prepay iPhone 17 from Three recently? Was it locked or unlocked out of the box?

Would appreciate any info before I buy!

Many moons ago…
all phones/routers/MiFi dongles from three i had were locked.
bill pay phones would be unlocked upon request.(might require several monthly bills paid beforehand, not sure)
prepay phones would be unlocked upon request ,but require €120+ credit was loaded on it to date
no unlock on routers/MiFi dongles provided

Not sure if they would have this changed, but you can call them/live chat and ask
