Got one today that went something like this:

Female voice "this is a recorded message. You are under investigation for money laundering. Press 1 or you will be arrested and held for up to 72 hours."

    Me "LOL"

Anybody receive a similar phone call?

Did you press 1, what happened?

I get them all the time, I just laugh and hang up. Normally if you press 1 you get to speak to someone who tries to convince you to give them some details they need haha

Got that one today too, was a Danish number, I’d been expecting a work call from Denmark and it really caught me off guard.

    #MEGA MAKE EUROPE GREAT AGAIN

Haven’t got one in a few years now but yeah, they’re common enough - I think my one was about owing revenue money or something

I like to waste their time, after milking it as much as I can, I ask them are their parents proud of them scamming people. Some of the responses have been surprising….. ranging from sorry, to absolute rage

    Don't do it OP. It's a trap.

DM me your bank details and I'll protect you from attacks like this.

On those calls you have the right to remain silent and if you do, all charges, and the call will be dropped ..😃

Advice on unknown phone numbers is to stay silent and with for a voice ...

I'm disappointed if I can't keep them going more than 10 minutes. I ask them if their parents are proud of them too. Or if many fall for the scam. I've learned some new curse words from a few of them. I can't see how anybody falls for this type of scam.

Calling them a mother fucker was a favorite of mine. I even had them calling me back a few minutes later calling me a MF.

I heard a good one but I'm not sure if it's true. Someone got scammed out of money and they called back up the number to get the money back and the person said give me you debit card details and I will reimburse you.

I get these all the time, more recently being from a Belgian number and ignore them 99% of the time.

My funniest encounter however was an auto voice saying this was the FBI investigating something like a raid on my account, can't quite remember. So anyway I pressed whatever number it was to speak to an FBI agent .

Here's how the conversation went -

Him -"This is the FBI, Officer Kowalsky speaking (in a very strong accent from the Indian sub-continent)"

-a few back and forths before I got bored -

Me - "You are not the FBI, now f*ck off and stop annoying me with these stupid calls!"

    - 5 second pause -

Him - "You motherf*cker!" in the strongest accent I have ever heard 😀

Me - "Raucous uncontrollable laughter" and hung up

I actually thought his response was hilarious and it lightened my day 😅

Read that in my best Apu accent LOL.

It must've been just after Orban6 taught them the MF word LOL.
